Overview

Pathwise (“the App”) is a topical Bible reading app. It is designed to work offline, without user accounts.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information.

Configuration updates

The App may periodically request a public configuration file over HTTPS so partner links and topic visibility can be updated without reinstalling. That request does not include your reading history, searches, or other personal data.

When the App fetches that file, the hosting service may receive standard web request metadata (for example IP address and user-agent), as with any HTTPS request. We do not use that metadata to identify you or track your reading.

Local data stored on your device

The App stores a local copy of the Bible text and the curated topic list on your device so features work offline. This data does not leave your device through the App.

The App does not send anything you read to an AI service.

Some screens include links to partner sites or apps (for example study tools or audio Bible services). If you tap those links:

We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their practices.

Children’s privacy

The App is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store / Google Play listing Privacy Policy URL.

Bible text attribution

Scripture text in the App is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a public-domain (CC0) translation. See https://berean.bible for details.

What the App shows

Pathwise shows curated Berean Standard Bible passages by topic. Each verse card has Bible, Study, and Share actions. Verse cards themselves show scripture and actions only — not study notes inline.

Study opens offline third-party notes (Tyndale Open Study Notes, Biblica Study Notes, and Jamieson–Fausset–Brown) shown verbatim on a separate screen, along with Tyndale and Biblica book introductions. Pathwise does not write interpretive blurbs under verses.

Optional “Go Deeper” links open partner sites or apps; those third parties have their own privacy practices (see above).

Study notes

Study notes shown in the App are third-party extracts stored on your device for offline use:
